"2-1=ZERO"

In all these years of learning maths, i've nvr knew tat my arithmetic was screwed up.
We're all taught that "1 + 1 = 2", simple yet sweet.
However, and sadly, "1 + 1 = 3 plus a whole load of trouble and ineffaceable memories".
Fallen and battered, moving on to find a glimpse of light, I solved another arithmetic theory.
"2 - 1" has nvr been equal to 1,
Cos when "2 - 1", it just sums up to a big ZERO.
I still couldnt solve this equation "2 - love = hatred" ??
I'm keeping my fingers crossed. . .
